McCloskey had a productive summer playing with My Basketball Academy. He plays a physical style of basketball and is relentless when getting to different spots off the bounce. McCloskey is also capable of knocking down shots from deep, giving him another way to pressure the defense. He attacks with a fearless mentality and looks to run through anything that gets in his way. His physicality, downhill approach, and perimeter shooting make him an intriguing player to monitor.

McCloskey is an effective off-ball player who moves well without the basketball and does a nice job coming off pin-down screens to create scoring opportunities. He is a legitimate threat from beyond the three-point line and can make defenses pay when given space. Defensively, he does a good job walling up around the basket and contesting shots in the paint. McCloskey impacts the game in a variety of ways, consistently stuffing the stat sheet with his all-around play. His versatility, effort, and willingness to do the little things make him a valuable glue guy who contributes to winning basketball.
