Mid-range assassin with a deadly bump-and-fade jumper that was tough to stop in one-on-one situations, showing the ball control to create and get to his spots while staying prepared to counter pressure defense with shoulder bumps, shrugs, or quick stops on a dime. Once he got going, he proved to be a handful to contain, as he could heat up quickly and score in bunches, going at defenders possession after possession.

BJ was on a mission all weekend and his stock is well on the rise! He came out ultra-aggressive in the 1st half of the championship game. Making his mark as he got to the paint and rim with authority. You could sense that he wanted this top-level matchup and was locked in and ready to prove a point. Beyond his athleticism, Baker proved that he is a super competitor and refuses to back down to anyone. Salute to him for playing the right way and having a great weekend!

Bouncy and active, Baker started the day off with multiple finishes at and above the rim. He attacks anything in front of him and when he gets out in transition defenders better watch their heads because he is constantly looking to put somebody on a poster. I also liked the way Baker played within his team’s system and didn’t force unnecessary action trying to do too much. He let the game come to him, made winning plays, and was a big reason his squad opened pool play 2-0.

Brennan Baker is a physically imposing “big body” guard whose muscular frame and raw strength made life miserable for anyone trying to check him. He knows exactly how to use his power to get downhill and finish at the rim. While he’s a tough, gritty competitor, he stays remarkably calm under pressure. Expect Baker’s summer to be filled with big plays and plenty of accolades.
