The Wazzu baseball commit has had an exceptional senior season on the hardwood, bringing infectious energy and offensive versatility to the floor. Boyd plays big inside, outworking a lot of opposing forwards to leave a big mark on the glass and wills buckets to fall in traffic. He can also step outside as a reliable 3-point shooter, and even though Chelan has had an up and down regular season, they have the guys to make a big push come districts.

Boyd was a big factor in Chelan’s matchup against one of the 2B title favorites, Brewster, Tuesday night. Although the Goats came up short, Boyd looked exceptionally well bringing a combination of physicality and touch inside and showing some sharpshooting from long-range. On top of that, he ran the floor well, didn’t seem to tire much, and had great hands working on the glass, tipping rebounds to himself and showing strength bringing them down. He seemed to be comfortable on every area of the court and continually put himself in positions to succeed.

Another top returning player for Chelan. He’s got good size and will help inside, scoring and rebounding. He’s got a solid post game with the ability to step out and hit shots. He is a capable three point shooter with a soft touch. He gets himself to the basket well, using a couple dribbles, or spin moves to finish strong. These two make for a dynamic duo inside and out.
