Washington is a two-sport star who has been turning some heads with his performances on the basketball court so far this summer. He has a strong body with good athleticism and plays hard on both ends of the floor. BJ had some success getting to his right hand with a running right right hook. He also cleans the glass well and is versatile on defense with his ability to protect the rim or switch onto perimeter defenders. Of the two games I watched Kingstree this weekend, Washington’s better overall performance came in a matchup with North Myrtle Beach where he went for 11 Points and had some nice moments finishing through contact.
Washington is a bigtime athlete for the Blazers. BJ who excels in the fall on the football field had a few bigtime dunks here today with his play. Washington surely plays the game with a lot of energy and passion. He brings full out effort at all times.
The Blazers will lean on BJ this season to provide some leadership for this young squad in Williamsburg County.
