Tate’s creativity as a scorer stood out during the showcase. He has advanced footwork and does a great job using his pivots to find openings without needing to put the ball back on the floor. Tate can score at all three levels, and his finishing ability around the rim is already advanced. His ability to create different scoring opportunities makes him a tough guard to contain.

Tate was very active throughout the day Sunday, and is a strong-bodied guard who embraces a challenge on the defensive side of the ball. He has both quick feet and quick hands, and did a very good job keeping his opponents in front of him. The 5’8″ CG did a great job fighting through screens, and was very vocal with his teammates while he was on the floor.
