Benjamin is a crafty guard with a knack for scoring. He uses his IQ to get defenders out of position and get to the bucket. He will finish high off the glass and even trough contact for and 1’s. He moves well off ball and will spot up for open three’s. He can extend his range a couple feet off the three point line and uses that to get defenders in the air off of pump fakes. He hit tough shots down the stretch for his squad and made a real impact on the outcome of the game.

Ortiz impressed with his ability to handle pressure and stay composed throughout both games on Day 1. He’s comfortable both on and off the ball, but really shines when initiating offense. Ortiz broke down defenders, played at his own pace, and made smart decisions without forcing action. He also kept moving around, and the ball found him, which kept his team in games. He showed creativity as a scorer and kept himself involved. He’s a poised guard who made a strong impression representing out-of-state talent.
