Ogolla jumped onto the radar for us this summer and has set the expectation of being a main piece for and interesting Maret team this season. He brings size at 6-foot-5 to play the 2-4 depending on the lineup and has games where he really fills it up from beyond the arc. His shooting was on display during The Expo, but it was more his defensively versatility that stood out. His ability to switch in space onto smaller guards and keep them in front while using his wingspan to close off any potential passing windows or clean looks at the rim. As he continues to improve his game off the bounce, Ogolla will be a name to watch in the MAC.

Ogolla is a prospect I’m going to pay close attention to this season due to his size and shooting ability. He could quickly climb this list if he’s able to string together a productive junior campaign with efficiency from the outside and showing his worth on the defensive end. Maret has a few pieces and although they’re young overall, it should mean for ample opportunity for all. For Ogolla in particular, he can emerge as the go-to option and as he showed this summer at the EBA Pre-Live Warmup, has good chemistry with his point guard Cam Hall Cam Hall 5'11" | PG/SG Maret School | 2030 MD in drive-and-kick scenarios.

-Ogolla makes a nice leap up the rankings after a string of consistent performances in DC Live where he averaged 15p 6r 1s 1b per game as an anchor for Maret. Ogolla is an absolute workhorse on the glass that uses advanced core strength to carve out space around the basket as a prospect that takes pride in his rebounding ability at both ends of the floor. Excited to see how his game develops as an offensive threat that Maret will need on a nightly basis to lead the way for a young group.

Ogolla spent the weekend teeing off from beyond the arc. Another off-ball guard/wing that I was introduced to thanks to this event, the 6-foot-5 rising junior is primed for a big season with Maret. As you scan the roster, they have a couple of guys who are capable of hanging a crooked number in the scoring column, but if I had to bet on it, Ogolla will consistently lead that effort as they look to make a splash in a very competitive MAC conference this winter.

He was electric when he caught fire in games for Maret over the year, and he was a willing defender as well. Babu is one of my radar players due to his size and touch mixed with his mobility. He can get in the paint, defend, and rebound with the bigs, as well as step out to the perimeter and move well offensively and defensively. Intriguing prospect to watch over the years in DC.
