Brandon Ramsey | Prep Hoops Scout
An under-the-radar impact transfer from the summer, Modesitt will be moving across town from West Lafayette to Harrison (West Lafayette) High School. The 6’2″ guard has been a two year varsity rotation player and should step into what is going to be a very talented and explosive backcourt at Harrison with a handful of transfers. We look forward to getting an updated evaluation of Modesitt at The Expo.

Modesitt got valuable varsity experience in the rotation for West Lafayette High School as a freshman for a Sectional championship team and should step into an even larger role as a sophomore. The 6’2″ guard is an athletic driver and finisher at the rim. His two-way ability on the perimeter makes him an impressive prospect to keep an eye on over the next handful of years.

Modesitt is a 6’2″ combo guard out of West Lafayette High School. He has a longer frame and is also very quick on the ball and makes a lot of good plays with the ball in his hands. His length is pretty impressive on the wing and he displays a smooth catch-and-shoot stroke when he gets an open look. Modest is a versatile player that will be a factor at the varsity level at West Lafayette.

At 6’1″ with impressive length on the perimeter, this prospect has a projectable frame as a freshman. Modesitt will continue to grow and get stronger which will only make his outside shooting that much more of a weapon. He displayed a smooth catch-and-shoot stroke on Sunday with a quick release and good footwork in preparation for his shot. Additionally, the West Lafayette product showed a real willingness to crash the offensive glass which can definitely be a strength of his.
