McKinney had a breakout season. He helped Jesuit win the CIF State D II title. He has a good size body, strength, and touch around the rim to impose his will in the paint. He plays with a good amount of energy rebounding, setting solid screens, he’s a ball mover. This season he started hitting 3pts shot from the top, and corners to takes his game to another level.

He could be a sleeper or late bloomer. He has size and strength. He has some tools to work with. He’ll shoot the 3 from the top on occasion. He works well from the free throw area and along the baseline. His one-two dribble, long strides, and reach puts him at the rim for lay ins and dunks. He’s an excellent passer, and will roll to the basket to finish inside. He’s big enough to be a factor on both ends in the paint.

He has a good size body, and wingspan to be an effective post defender. He denies, moves his feet, works from side to side arms extended to prevent easy post entry passes. He has vision and excellent passing moving the ball from side to side, he finds cutters going to the basket, shooters along the perimeter. He works well from the high and mid post using a dribble or two to get closer. He sets screens to free up guards.
