Gomez transferred to Elizabeth during the summer and should make his impact felt right away. The 5’11 guard plays with poise on the ball as he rarely gets rattled by on-ball pressure and threads passes to his teammates the half court. Gomez has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. He moves well without the ball in his hands and jumps passing lanes on the defensive end. Gomez’s ability to run the offense is something that will help his stock throughout the course of the season.

Gomez was electric this season putting up some big numbers in his first year. The point guard took full control of the offense with his incredible playmaking. Seeing him find different creative ways to get his teammates open is what makes him a tough guard because he can already score at a high level. His speed and quickness with the ball in his hands is how he creates extra separation on his shot from behind the arc. Gomez can stop on a dime and hit the pull-up shot in the midrange area. On defense, he came away with 43 steals in 26 games. Gomez is a pest on defense and gets after players forcing them to go to their off-hand to dribble into traps.
