Floor general who made the big plays to secure the victory. Quick and with outstanding handles. Utilizes a floater well to score against taller foes. Saw glimpses of his ability to facilitate out of the pick and roll. Is hard-nosed and an instigator on defense. Fought through a screen to draw a foul and quick hands to be disruptive when covering on the ball. Can fall in love with his dribble a bit too much at times. But considering a couple of those instances ended with him drilling big time threes in the second half maybe it’s best to let him cook.

Alex played with confidence at the point guard position and kept the offense flowing. The ball never stuck in his hands. He consistently moved it, attacked pressure, and got downhill when defenders played too high. Showed good vision finding the open man and appeared to see the play developing a pass ahead. Controlled the pace well and kept teammates involved throughout possessions.

Alex Wiggins is the secondary ball handler for the Lubbock Panthers 16U as he occasionally brings the ball down the court to initiate the team’s offense. I appreciate his ability to seamlessly integrate into the offensive flow, as many of his shot attempts were open, particularly from the perimeter. Additionally, during the press defense, Alex was highly active in the front court.
