Expert Analysis
Jay Anderson | Prep Hoops Scout
Taylor was one of the top performers in the senior class as he led the way for Princeton High with a record of 21-4 and 8-2 to close out his career in the high school ranks. He produced 26.9 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 4.4 apg, 3.9 spg and 1.4 bpg, showing off his ability to make an impact in more ways than one while using his athleticism and length at 6-foot-3. He’s a prospect that plays with a ton of energy on both ends of the floor and can operate at the guard/wing spot in the rotation. He’s a name for DII and DIII programs to get to know in the state.

Taylor is a smooth guard with good handles. He can finish in traffic. He pushes the ball and creates for himself or teammates. He has range beyond the 3 point line. Never looks rushed as he seems to play within himself at all times.

His recent 46 Point performance against North Johnston had social media buzzing, not only was the point total impressive but the percentage that he scored the ball at was just as impressive if not more. He plays the game at his own pace, has a nice IQ for the game and has proven time and time again that he is a player that is worthy of being recruited.

Taylor has been the primary leader for the Princeton Bulldogs as they’ve lost just twice in 2022-23, both to conference-foe Goldsboro High, and boast a 19-2 record on the season. He’s a do-it-all prospect at 6-foot-3 that’s producing 25.9 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 4.7 apg, 4.2 spg and 1.3 bpg in his senior season and recently eclipsed the 1,000-point plateau. He’s an efficient shooter and decision maker shooting 55 percent from the field and 34 percent from 3-point land on the year. They’ll close the season out tonight against North Johnston High at 7:30 PM. Colleges of all levels should get eyes on him.
