About Caleb
Expert Analysis
Donald Tatum | Prep Hoops Scout
Evans is off to a great start to the season and picked up right where he left off last season. His already deep range shot is even more efficient and his IQ is always on full display when watching him utilize his team mates. He works hard on both sides of the ball and as a PG runs his offense like a vet. Evans will surely run a team at the next level after he graduates.

Evans is a player you need to see live. He has a natural ability to manage the game and control the offense, making it enjoyable to watch his decision-making. As shifty as any guard in the state, he also possesses a sharp outside shot that keeps defenders honest. He uses his low center of gravity to effectively get to his spots and is tough to guard because of it. Evans plays well off two feet, giving him multiple scoring options—he can pull up, finish with a floater, or create for his teammates. He’s one of the best guards in the state and has the talent to play college basketball at the next level.

The Parkway point was thrust the ball when he got to campus and has been the lead point since. Caleb has always been a good shooter, so he has been very good from behind the arc. Evans is now very good at using his handle to get into the lane and finishing or finding others. Caleb is a difference-making point and makes the players around him better.

Evans is another point guard who has continued to progress. He was thrust into varsity action his freshman year and has steadily improved since. This summer, Caleb showed that he has the ability to take over games by making the three at key times. He also handles the ball much better and can get to the rim almost at will. When it comes to lead guards on the non-select/1-5A level, he is one of the better ones.
