The City Rankings series continues with a look at the forward prospects. Here’s a look at the Raleigh-Durham area’s 2022 class.

#1 [player_tooltip player_id="577885" first="Asa" last="White"] | 6’8 F | Garner Magnet

White was the third best prospect in the rotation for Garner Magnet as they went 22-6 on the year and 10-2 in the conference. He’s growing into a versatile prospect that can protect the rim and finish around the rim with authority. As he develops his game on the perimeter, he’ll be one to watch in the area.

#2 [player_tooltip player_id="944974" first="Jakwon" last="Moore"] | 6’6 F | Pender

Moore was a pivotal piece for Pender as they went 20-8 on the year in the frontcourt. He produced 15.9 ppg, 6.8 rpg and 1.1 spg as a downhill driving threat. He’s got nice athleticism on the floor that can get up and put on a show. As he shows he can operate on all three levels, look for him to grow.

#3 [player_tooltip player_id="577886" first="Dylan" last="Wiggins"] | 6’5 F | Cleveland

Wiggins was an emerging force in the Cleveland rotation in 2019-20 during his sophomore campaign. He averaged 7.7 ppg, showing off his touch around the rim and in the paint. He’s an underrated athletic forward that’s due for a breakout season in 2020-21.

#4 [player_tooltip player_id="944993" first="John" last="Baldwin"] | 6’8 F/C | Whiteville

Baldwin was a key member of the frontcourt at Whiteville that’s slowly learning his role on both ends. He’s a big presence in the paint that can protect the rim and rebound in bunches. As he develops his game outside the paint, look out for him at Whiteville.

#5 Wesley Johnson | 6’8 F | Leesville Road

Johnson is a young forward prospect at Leesville Road. He’s a very raw talent on the hardwood that’s due for a breakout 2020-21 season with [player_tooltip player_id="574402" first="Carter" last="Whitt"] and [player_tooltip player_id="838017" first="Jalen" last="McDonald"] in the rotation.
