Shore Conference: 2022 Prospects to Rise Before the Season

Year in and year out, the Shore Conference produces stars. The Class of 2022 is no different. There are plenty of players ranked and many of them will rise up the ladder before the season begins. Here are the biggest names to watch who could rise prior to the season.

[player_tooltip player_id="931028" first="Jack" last="Seidler"] | Marlboro

Marlboro was not a very deep team this season. Fortunately, Seidler emerged as one of the top sophomores in the area. He played the game with a certain passion that cannot be taught. He scored 560 total points in his second season and was one of the top free throw shooters in the conference. Seidler has a soft touch from midrange and can score at will in the lane. He has a knack for getting to the line drawing contact.

[player_tooltip player_id="931026" first="Cy" last="Arvantis"] | Red Bank Catholic

[player_tooltip player_id="896621" first="Charlie" last="Gordinier"] was a proven commodity in 2019-2020, but Arvantis could not be ignored for the Caseys. The lanky point guard could be seen bringing the ball up half court and knocking down a deep three. Arvantis proved to be a shooter, whether it was in rhythm of the offense or a pull up. He finished near the top of the conference with 65 made three’s. Arvantis is one of the most intriguing names to keep an eye on moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id="901984" first="Amari" last="Petty"] | Donovan Catholic

Donovan Catholic was an extremely young team and that youth showed at times. Petty got great experience in his second season. He was the starting guard and had the ball in his hands a ton. This will help in the future. He will work on making his game more consistent, whether it is using his smooth jump shot or his shifty ball handling ability.

[player_tooltip player_id="931025" first="Geoff" last="Schroeder"] | Rumson-Fair Haven

Schroeder is another player that took his game to the next level as a sophomore. He showed his ability to take over offensively. This was most present during a 64-63 win over Middletown North where Schroeder finished with 30 points. He is a scorer at all three levels and can quickly become one of the top point guards.

[player_tooltip player_id="901948" first="Wyatt" last="Hasselbauer"] | Manchester Township

Hasselbauer’s role is one that will continue to increase over his years as an upperclassman. He has the size at 6’7, he has the soft touch around the rim, and he certainly has the aggression on the boards. This is a player that can score in many ways on the block.

[player_tooltip player_id="901979" first="Nate" last="Williams"] | St. John Vianney

Williams can take that next step in 2020-2021. He will become a focal point of the offense for the Lancers. This will allow him to show off what he can really do. Williams is a player that can score with or without the ball. He moves well on both ends and is a strong defender on the perimeter.
