Missouri talent at the Bass Pro TOC

<p>The lineup for the 2021 Bass Pro Tournament of Champions is set. The annual weekend national tournament will be held on January 14-16 at the JQH Arena on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield. It is one of, if not the best in-season tournament in the nation, with sellout crowds during each night.</p> <p>There will be three teams from Missouri scheduled to compete at the TOC in a field with national programs. The national teams in the field include Bishop Gorman (NV), IMG Academy (FL), Pace Academy (GA), Roman Catholic (PA) and Sunrise Christian (KS).</p> <p>Here is a look at the Missouri teams that will be in the 2021 Bass Pro TOC.</p> <h4>DeSmet</h4> <p>The Spartans returns virtually their entire nucleus from a team that finished with a xx record and advanced to a district championship game against CBC. They will be one of the top contenders in Class 5 in 2021.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="824115" first="Yaya" last="Keita"] 6’9" (’21): One of the top big man prospects in the state. He is a dominant rebounder and shot blocker with a high motor.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="824116" first="Sekou" last="Gassama"] 6’10" (’21): A long and athletic post player with Division I offers. He can run the court and block shots.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="824127" first="Jeremiah" last="Walker"] 6’2" (’21): A slashing combo guard who can get lots of buckets in the lane.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="824126" first="Thomas" last="Redmond"] 6’4" (’21): An All-State soccer player who also doubles as a excellent combo guard with collegiate potential in both sports.</p> <p>Brian Taylor 6’3" (’22): The athletic point guard emerged as the Spartans floor leader last season. He excels at both ends of the court.</p> <p>Brennan Lovette 6'4" (’22): A versatile wing player who can shoot the ball while being an excellent passer and making his teammates better.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h4>Greenwood</h4> <p>The Blue Jays will be one of the top contenders for the Class 2 state championship once again after winning it all in 2019 and advancing to the state quarterfinals in 2020.</p> <p>Aminu Mohammed 6’5" (’21): The five-star recruit set records at last year's Bass Pro TOC with a series of sparkling performances. He has numerous high major Division I offers.</p> <p>Grant Harper 5’9" (’21): An excellent point guard who makes things go for this high-powered unit.</p> <p>Tommy Pinegar 6’2" (’22): A three year starter who is one of the top 3-point shooters in the state.</p> <p>Kaden Stuckey 6’6" (’23): Talented young post player who saw quality minutes as a freshman. The son of Missouri State Hall of Famer Kelby Stuckey.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h4>Kickapoo</h4> <p>The Chiefs will return to the Bass Pro TOC for the second second consecutive year after finishing xx and advancing to the Final Four of the Class 5 state tournament in 2020.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="824111" first="Anton" last="Brookshire"] 6’2" (’21): The standout combo guard recently committed to the University of Missouri.
