The next in the ’Top-140 most impactful in AIA’ countdown, we look at numbers 117-124.

Remember, these are not player rankings but how much they impact their team along with the talent they go against during the season.

Here are the next eight:

[player_tooltip player_id="826995" first="Jeremiah" last="Cherry"] (St. Mary’s) (Pictured)

-A beast inside one of the deeper teams in the state will be a problem. Blocking shots, rebounding and scoring.

[player_tooltip player_id="932362" first="Amarei" last="Hunter"] (Desert Edge)

-A 3 and D type should get a little better for the older 4A team.

[player_tooltip player_id="827015" first="Justin" last="Shorts"] (Millennium)

-Two guards graduate and Shorts will step in and shine with his strength and scoring.

[player_tooltip player_id="827033" first="Nikko" last="Pentelute"] (Gilbert)

-Similar situation, as the Tigers lose three stud senior guards. In comes a strong scorer and competitor.

[player_tooltip player_id="701252" first="Mike" last="Dienes"] (Rancho Solano Prep)

-Graduating three heavy hitters with [player_tooltip player_id="804755" first="Hunter" last="Ruck"], [player_tooltip player_id="706732" first="Tyson" last="Legner"] and his older brother [player_tooltip player_id="804839" first="James" last="Dienes"], will lead to a golden opportunity to make some noise in 2A. He could be one of the top scorers in the conference.

[player_tooltip player_id="809709" first="Tanner" last="Crawford"] (Mesa)

-A big east valley transfer from Williams Field should help the Jackrabbits immensely in the paint on both ends of the court.

[player_tooltip player_id="809689" first="Coleman" last="Fields"] (Millennium)

-Like Shorts, Fields will be given a big chance to contribute like he did his first two seasons. He took a step back behind older players, but look for him to rebound with stronger play!

[player_tooltip player_id="934597" first="Ashton" last="Earl"] (ALA-QC)

-A little unknown post player is strong and rebounds like a man possessed. He can score it with his back to the basket, and the Patriots will need that added muscle to play in the 4A this season.
