Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) presents the Private School All-State recipients from the Greater Houston Area. These prospects played in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) from the 5A/6A classifications and Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC) congrats to all these prospects listed below.

[player_tooltip player_id="887051" first="Chris" last="Felix"] 6’4” G | 2021 | Westbury Christian

Chris had a really good season. He transferred into a new school and was an immediate impact from the first tip-off of the very first game. He helped to lead his team to a State Championship game. He made the All-State Tourney Team. He is a tough guard that has a solid skillset. His ball-handling improved greatly from last season, as well as his in-game decision making. His stat line was 18.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 1.9 assists per game on the season. He shot 47% from the field and 78% from the foul line. He also helped lead his team to a state championship title game.

[player_tooltip player_id="887043" first="Ja’Vier" last="Francis"] 6’7” C | 2021 | Westbury Christian

(Jay-V-Air) was big-time for the Wildcats this year. He was apart of a team that made it to the State Championship game and was an All-State Tourney Team recipient. He is very tough inside the paint on both sides of the ball. His defensive presence changes the game as well as his ability to clear out the area with aggressive rebounds and finishes above the rim. On the season he averaged 14.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, 6.1 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game. He shot 64% from the field as well as had 17 double-doubles and 3 triple-doubles on the season. He has a total of 5 NCAA D1 offers on the table right now.

[player_tooltip player_id="766930" first="D’Avian" last="Houston"] 6’2” CG | 2020 | Bellaire Episcopal [College of Charleston]

D'A had a great senior campaign. He is a highly skilled guard that can play either the point or off-ball as a two. He put his team on his back when his backcourt running mate was out for half of the season. He is very athletic and can shoot the leather off the ball. He has exceptional playmaking abilities. He is a very tough on-ball defender as well. He won't hesitate to put you in the rim either. He is committed/signed to the College of Charleston an NCAA D1 affiliate.

[player_tooltip player_id="684397" first="R.J." last="Keene"] 6’7” SF | 2021 | Concordia Lutheran

RJ had a good season this year. He can shoot the ball from the perimeter very well. He showed his ability to take his man off the dribble and finished at a high rate around the rim this season. He even had a lot of finishes above the rim and caught a couple of bodies on the season as well. This season he averaged 19.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. He shot 46% from the field, 38% from behind the arc, and 70% from the foul line. He also had 3 double-doubles on the season. He has a total of 5 NCAA D1 offers on the table right now.

[player_tooltip player_id="887052" first="Noah" last="Kon"] 6’1” PG | 2021 | Houston Christian

Noah is a 2x All-State honoree by the TABC. Bully point who is aggressive on the attack to the rim. He is uber-athletic and plays above the rim. His outside shooting has improved tremendously from last year. He is a tough on-ball defender as well. He averaged on the season 19.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.8 steals per game. He also shot 47% from the field, 37% from beyond the arc making a total of 37 treys on the season, and 75% from the charity stripe.

[player_tooltip player_id="779906" first="Jonathan" last="Massie"] 6’4” SG | 2021 | St. Thomas Catholic

Jonathan was a big-time bucket getter for his squad this year. The coaches from around the state took notice as he was not just awarded TABC All-State honors but also TAPPS All-State honors as well. He is tough when playing from the wing with the ball in his hands. He gets downhill quickly and has good strength for his position. His outside jump shot has improved the most as well as his overall awareness of the game. On the season he averaged 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists per game.
