“The Underrated”

<p>Here Prep Hoops takes a look at some of Michigan’s top Underrated Players!</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="969508" first="Jaylen" last="Hodges"] (G, Bridgeport)</strong></p> <p><strong>Hodges</strong> showed he is one of the best in the state, helping lead the <strong>Bearcats</strong> to a 19-1 season. The 6’3 guard can score that basketball at will knocking down shots from every spot on the floor,<strong> Hodges</strong> not only creates shots for himself he is very unselfish getting his team involved creating open looks for his teammates this season. Going into his senior year you can only expect greatness from the junior guard keep an eye out!</p> <p><strong>Gabe Damey (G, Ypsilanti Lincoln)</strong></p> <p><strong>Damey</strong> is an all-around player for the <strong>Railsplitters</strong>. <strong>Damey</strong> can knock it down from deep and has the IQ of a college guard, going into his senior year the <strong>Railsplitters</strong> will look his way more. often to help create and help lead this very talented group back to the state championship. With a target on their back having the #1 player in the country in<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="787606" first="Emoni" last="Bates"] Gabe</strong> doesn’t shy away from pressure when his name is called!</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863920" first="Jason" last="Drake"] (G, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)</strong></p> <p>Mr. Deadeye! <strong>Drake</strong> can shoot the lights out on any given night.<strong> Drake</strong> started for the #1 team in the state the <strong>OLSM Eaglets</strong>, the 6’1 guard didn’t let that rattle him showing up every night helping lead the <strong>Eaglets</strong> to a very successful 21-1 season. <strong>Drake</strong> is a 3 level scorer that can do it all on the offense and defensive end going into his Junior year<strong> Drake</strong> will turn some heads this upcoming season!</p> <p><strong>Jacob Buckland (G/F, East Jackson)</strong></p> <p><strong>Buckland</strong> is a 6’5 guard with in the gym range, <strong>Buckland</strong> has started his freshman and sophomore season for the <strong>Trojans</strong> and hasn’t disappointed. The 6’5 guard has improved his jump shot this season tremendously while also adding some size being able to get down in the paint with the best of them. <strong>Buckland</strong> has a pass-first mindset but when his number is called and the <strong>Trojans</strong> need to get it done <strong>Buckland</strong> has no problem stepping into the light and getting it done, being able to score on all levels and being a perimeter defender and rim protector on the defensive end he is a nightmare for a lot of opponents!</p>
