Typically during the spring AAU season, rising juniors really began to start making a name for themselves in front of college coaches. Because of the coronavirus, they will not have that opportunity this year. Below are five prospects that were set to give an introduction to the recruiting world this spring.

6’8 [player_tooltip player_id="777068" first="George" last="Perkins"] | Sidwell Friends

There is a lot to like about Perkins because of his upside. Standing at 6’9, he can rebound the ball well at both ends while also being able to score in the post but also from midrange. Coaches would have loved to see the upside in Perkins this spring.

6’6 [player_tooltip player_id="904635" first="Dani" last="Dennis-Sutton"] | McDonogh

Known as a big time football recruit, Dani can get it done on the hardwood too. He is a physical beast that plays a big presence on defending post players. On offense he also has the ability to finish at the rim and hit jumpers from different spots on the floor.

6’2 [player_tooltip player_id="777073" first="Antonio" last="Hamlin"] | Combine Academy

Hamlin just missed the cut on our All State Teams but was slated to the honorable mention. Hamlin should continue to develop during his time at Combine Academy in North Carolina during the next few years but this spring would have been a great time for him to show his talents in front of college coaches.

6’7 [player_tooltip player_id="777077" first="Stephaun" last="Walker"] | Coolidge

After a successful sophomore year season at Coolidge, Walker was slotted on our MD/DC 2022 All Third Team. Walker does a lot in the post because of his size and is a good rim protector. Walker is definitely one of the more underrated prospects in the area that should receive some more praise in my opinion.

6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="904624" first="Christian" last="Watson"] | St. John’s

Watson has terrific athleticism and a good frame that would have intrigued a lot of coaches this spring. Christian improved his shot making abilities this past season at St. John’s and should continue to make steps in the right direction heading into his junior season.
