<p>The Preps Hoops Missouri Mr. Basketball Award for the 2019-20 season is guard [player_tooltip player_id="580366" first="Caleb" last="Love"] of CBC.</p>
<p>The 6'4" Love concluded a brilliant career by leading the Cadets to a Final Four berth in the Class 5 state tournament. His quest to end his career with a state championship was halted when the Final Four was cancelled due to the outbreak of the COVID-19.</p>
<p>In his final high school game, Love scored 24 points to lead the Cadets to a 62-53 victory over Francis Howell in the state quarterfinals at Francis Howell Central. Love reached another milestone in the victory as he surpassed the 2,000-point mark. He finished his career with 2,009 points.</p>
<p>For the season, Love averaged 27.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 44 percent from the field, 35 percent from 3-point range and 80 percent from the free throw line. He had a string on three consecutive 40-point performances in late January to lead the Cadets to victories.</p>
<p>For his efforts, Love was selected to compete in the McDonald's All-American, making him the second Cadet to earn that honor. The first McDonald's All-American from CBC was Larry Hughes in 1997. Love was also selected to compete in the Jordan Brand Classic in New York and the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland.</p>
<p>Love signed with North Carolina, where he will be part of one of the nation's top recruiting classes in 2020.</p>
