Region 3 Outlook

<p>Region 3 was competitive as all, but two teams finished above .500.  This upcoming season might look the same at the top as the Bingham Miners bring back experience at the point guard position and a lot of size. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="543098" first="Jordan" last="Toscano"]</strong> battled injuries all year but was still able to post good numbers. Look for a healthier player at the point and see how far the Miners can go next season. He will need to have a few underclassmen step up but they should be ready. </p> <p>Herriman might be able to make a jump here in this next year. They do lose some key players but they have some guys coming back that will fill in nicely. <strong>Bodi Nagely</strong> is a nice looking guard that is strong fast and can be a threat all over the court. They will need players that don’t have that much experience to fill that void left in the post and on the perimeter. </p> <p>Copper Hills had a heavy laden senior squad but <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="755670" first="Carson" last="Butler"]</strong> is a bright spot in players that return that could score. With a new team it could be difficult for Copper Hills to finish were they did this past season, but look for them to be tough and scrappy. </p> <p>Don’t count out Jordan just yet. They have a shot at competing with Bingham when region play starts. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="933808" first="Micah" last="Ashman"]</strong> is a great prospect that often gets over looked because of the players on last seasons roster. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="543087" first="Dante" last="Martin"]</strong> is another player that returns for Jordan that will see an increase in production. Jordan also has a nice big in <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="933816" first="Tevita" last="Mafileo"]</strong>. </p> <p>The Riverton Silverwolves graduate on Applegate but gain another. <strong>Mitchell Applegate</strong> can play and with <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="955327" first="Cody" last="Nixon"]</strong> running besides him Riverton can turn into one of those run and gun styled offenses. </p> <p>West has an interesting year coming up  because they have been playing better and some of their contributors like <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="955304" first="Elijah" last="Crockett"]</strong> who has size and skill come back one more year. Don’t count West out because they will compete. </p>
