The Union County Conference was home to some of the best teams in the state including Roselle Catholic and Elizabeth. This was arguably the most talented conference in the state during the 2019-2020 season. This makes for an entertaining All-Conference list. Here is that list selected by Prep Hoops.

First Team

[player_tooltip player_id="850316" first="Cliff" last="Omoruyi"] (2020) | Roselle Catholic: Omoruyi was selected as the Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year. He was clearly the most dominant player in the state and he showed that every time he stepped on the floor. Omoruyi averaged 14.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 5.6 blocks per game. He will make his college decision on Sunday.

[player_tooltip player_id="766099" first="CJ" last="Wilcher"] (2020) | Roselle Catholic: Another selection comes from the Lions. Wilcher entered Roselle Catholic as one of the top shooters in the state and he did not disappoint. The Xavier commit knocked down 50 three’s on the season and was elite from midrange. Wilcher showed his ability to shoot off the dribble, with his back to the basket, and from deep.

[player_tooltip player_id="850359" first="Jordan" last="Price"] (2020) | Elizabeth: Elizabeth had their best season in a long time under first year head coach Phil Collichio and star Price. The senior scored 18.7 points per contest and grabbed 5.1 rebounds. Price was an elite scorer and it did not matter who his opponent was.

[player_tooltip player_id="933642" first="Kalleem" last="Lambert"] (2020) | Hillside: Lambert led Hillside to a division title inside the UCC. He was one of the conference’s leading scorers with 22.5 points per game. He knocked down 201 free throws on the season as well. Lambert was an all-around scorer who got it done in many ways.

Jamarques Lawrence (2022) | Plainfield: If Lambert was the best scorer, Lawrence was not too far behind. The sophomore showed an advanced ability to put the ball in the basket. He averaged 20.1 points per game on the season.

Second Team

[player_tooltip player_id="766102" first="Niels" last="Lane"] (2020) | Roselle Catholic: The future Florida Gator was the best player on the floor on many occasions. He was just another talented piece to Roselle Catholic. Lane is an athletic freak that can get to the rim in a flash.

[player_tooltip player_id="929700" first="Eric" last="Baier"] (2020) | Summit: Baier averaged 20.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per game this season. The Summit big man was a force on both sides of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="896680" first="Griffin" last="Rooney"] (2020) | Westfield: Rooney led Westfield in scoring for the second straight season with 16.8 points per game. He was a capable shooter but thrived as a slasher getting to the rim and the free throw line.

[player_tooltip player_id="787655" first="Jayden" last="Pierre"] (2020) | Elizabeth: Pierre is the future of Elizabeth basketball. As a sophomore, Pierre scored 15.3 points and dished out 4.3 assists per contest. He is a shift guard who has the ball on a string at all times.

[player_tooltip player_id="850352" first="Amir" last="Williams"] (2020) | Linden: Williams could be pegged as the most underrated player in the conference. He is a big man who can take over a game at any time and did just that for a Linden team that over achieved this season.

Third Team

[player_tooltip player_id="787669" first="Corey" last="Floyd Jr"]. (2022) | Roselle Catholic
