The strange, frustrating end to the 2019-2020 basketball season, if in fact it is the end, affords @PrepHoopsTN time to reconsider and revise. Time to revisit the Class of 2020 rankings and adjust to account for the player’s growth and stagnation. Rankings are subjective. Why did we rank these guys? Why are they at this spot? Take a look at several Class of 2020 prospects and learn a little about their reputation.

The following players are now ranked in the Top 200 statewide (LEFT-new rank).

At the high school level level Noah is kind of a face up 4.
With his trademarked high white socks, he drifts from elbow to elbow to low blocks. He is decent from range and rebounds well at an elite Class A level. Along with [player_tooltip player_id="643361" first="Peyton" last="West"], Saylors helped his Monterey Wildcats to start tournament. Routinely posted double figure scoring nights. Nice frame. Could use more weight room devotion this off-season. Projects as a small college 3-man.

#196 [player_tooltip player_id="954822" first="Abiah" last="Releford"] (Dobyns-Bennett)

Abiah is a smooth, cunning guard. In a matchup against state-bound Maryville High, Releford checked [player_tooltip player_id="643290" first="Joe" last="Anderson"] successfully for a half. As Joe was want to do in spring 2020, the exceptional point guard ignited a bonfire in the third quarter and MHS pulled away with ease. Still, Releford was a defender with elegance and patience. Offensively, Releford can do a little bit of everything. Court awareness and lateral agility remain strengths. Releford buried a wonderful 8 three pointers at Cherokee High in February.

#197 [player_tooltip player_id="846051" first="Adrian" last="Doss"] (Glencliff)

Glencliff was a guard-driven team in 2019-2020 and [player_tooltip player_id="846051" first="Adrian" last="Doss"] started alongside two other ranked players ([player_tooltip player_id="954799" first="Kairee" last="Price"], [player_tooltip player_id="824170" first="Trey" last="Brown"]). Doss averaged 12.3 ppg and 4.3 apg in his final season. The quickness of Doss allowed him to make plays.

#198 [player_tooltip player_id="954823" first="Irving" last="Espinoza"] (Warren County)

Irving is a really good catch-and-shoot player. Maybe a combo guard. He can score from the wing. Good passer. Good level of confidence. Lead his team, a team primarily of juniors. Good presence in the open floor. Sees his teammates well. Irving understands floor spacing and doesn’t crowd his other guards. Espinoza hit five three-pointers against Stone Memorial and pulled Community High out of their two-three zone.
