Non-Public A North: All-Tournament Teams

<p>The Non-Public A State final saw Bergen Catholic take down St. Peter’s Prep. This was an exciting tournament from the beginning. Here are the players who stiff oh over the rest.<br /> <br /> </p> <p><strong>MVP: [player_tooltip player_id="850662" first="Will" last="Richardson"] (2022) | Bergen Catholic </strong></p> <p>Richardson was the clear-cut best player on the floor for Bergen Catholic throughout the tournament. The sophomore averaged 22.7 points over three games including a 29-point performance in the semi-finals against Don Bosco. Richardson led the way with 21 points in a double-overtime win over St. Peter’s Prep in the final. </p> <p><strong>First Team</strong></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="850320" first="Matt" last="Zona"] (2020) | Bergen Catholic:</strong> Zona showed why he has a commitment to Notre Dame. The big man notched a double-double in the finals with 20 points and 12 rebounds. This was his second 20-point game of the tournament.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="850664" first="Mark" last="Armstrong"] (2022) | St. Peter’s Prep: </strong>Armstrong was an elite scorer all season long with 558 points. He was one of the best sophomores in the state and will continue to be a top player next season. He scored 28 points in both the semis and championship game.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="900328" first="Rayshawn" last="Ford"] (2021) | St. Peter’s Prep: </strong>This team must be looking forward to next season already. Ford scored 20 or more points in all three games and averaged 22 per game for the tournament.</p> <p><strong>Brendan Mykalcio (2020) | Don Bosco: </strong>Despite the semi-final loss, Mykalcio was one of the best players in the tournament. He finished with 26 points and eight rebounds against Paramus Catholic before putting 17 up in the semis.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="900335" first="Derrick" last="Bueno"] (2021) </strong><strong>| Paramus Catholic: </strong>Bueno was a double-double machine this season and he finished with two more in the tournament. Bueno put up 34 points and 14 rebounds on Pope John in round one.
