[player_tooltip player_id="745364" first="Makale" last="Smith"] | 2021 G | Midwest City

Smith was outstanding in leading Midwest City to a state-tournament birth behind a 23-point performance from the junior. Smith was successful in finishing shots out of the dribble and using his next-gear speed to drive to the rack, and converting on shots from the charity stripe.

[player_tooltip player_id="931187" first="Christian" last="Cook"] | 2020 G | Midwest City

Refusing to take a detour on his senior-year-route to the state tournament, Cook took over against P.C. West, scoring 18 points despite focusing most of his energy on defending the ball and passing to teammates — two of whom scored over 20 points. Cook also converted on a momentous dunk in the third quarter to put the local crowd on its feet.

[player_tooltip player_id="535590" first="Rondel" last="Walker"] | 2020 G | Putnam City West

Equally as determined to put his team in the state tournament the easy way, Walker was electrifying all evening for P.C. West, notching 32 points, numerous assists and a handful of steals. Walker especially showed up in the fourth quarter, including a pair of late 3-pointers that seemed sub-probable to find their way into the hoop. He put the Patriots within a field goal after anybody in the gym thought it likely they had a prayer.

Kevin Overton | 2022 F | Midwest City

Overton shot the ball well and hit mid-range field goals out of the catch efficiently Friday evening to put the P.C. West defense in a tough spot. Finishing with 20 points, Overton was perhaps the tipping point in the match as his 6-foot-4-inch frame was just too much to guard.

[player_tooltip player_id="745367" first="Colby" last="Onyekuru"] | 2021 F | Edmond Santa Fe

Refusing to go down without a fight, Onyekuru’s impressive third year ended in a tough 12-point performance that included an impressive rebounding night, as well. Onyekuru, boasting a stout yet agile 6-foot-4-inch size advantage, was almost unbeatable on the boards as he collected put-backs and possession changes.
