The 4A playoffs get into gear this weekend with a couple of games taking place on Friday and the rest on Saturday as 16 teams will battle to earn one of the eight state tournament bids in Forest Grove. Some of the state’s best in the class will be playing - here’s a look at some of the top players to watch.

Nick Stice (2020 Marist) - Gritty point guard that really attacks on the offensive side of the ball. Toughness makes up for lack of size at 5-foot-9. Can distribute as well as score and knows how to get around bigger players. Sky-Em Player of the Year and a candidate for 4A honors as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="855892" first="JJ" last="Anderson"] (2020 Marist) - Hard-nosed 6-foot combo guard that projects as a "3 and D" player at the college level. Can knock down shots on the wing and really get after it defensively on opposing guard.

[player_tooltip player_id="855872" first="Sergio" last="Jimenez"] (2020 North Marion) - Well-built 6-foot-2 wing/forward that is near unstoppable when going to the hoop. Versatile player who is an underrated passer. Is looking at both basketball and football options for college. Tri-Valley POY two years running.

[player_tooltip player_id="841412" first="Ryan" last="Hague"] (2020 Seaside) - Tough 6-foot-2 wing who can really put the ball into the basket. Has taken on the leading role after being more of a supporting cast member on some title-winning teams.
