Shaker Heights vs Stow

Shammah Scott | Shaker Heights

One of the premier unsigned point guards in Northeast Ohio, Scott has handled his team to an impressive regular-season run. His quickness is a game-changer and can fight through contact to finish in a variety of ways as good as anyone I’ve seen at the rim. His jump shot has developed more consistently his senior season has that added element is what makes him a top prospect in the area.

Van Shyjka | Stow

Standing at 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds, Shyjka has the size advantage to almost anyone in the district and uses his body well inside the paint. He’s a player that pump fakes a lot to try and get the extra step on his defender near the rim and knows how to fight through contact. He’s always a problem for opposing teams near the rim due to his size and physicalness he brings to the floor.

Hudson vs Warren G. Harding

Jack Burdett | Hudson

Hudson is currently on an 11-game winning streak and senior forward Jack Burdett has a lot to do with the recent success. He’s been able to use his size to his advantage and is a stat sheet stuffer for the Explorers. He has over 245 career assists during his career at Hudson and is as selfless as they come for big guys in the area. Anytime he’s on the floor, he’ll keep you on your toes.

Munch Owens | Warren G Harding

The senior guard is averaging more than 15 points and four rebounds per game for Warren G Harding this season. He’s a crafty player who has added to his game in a multitude of ways, including on the defensive side of the ball this season. He’s shown immense leadership and should be able to make an impact in Saturday night’s game like he has been doing all season long. If he’s able to get his teammates involved early and starts showing signs of taking over the game, it will be difficult to contain him for Hudson.

Garfield Heights vs Maple Heights

Che Johnson | Maple Heights

Coming off an impressive 21-point performance Wednesday night against Euclid, he’ll look to lead the 9-14 Mustangs to an upset win over the Bulldogs this weekend. The Shaker Heights transfer is a proven leader for Maple Heights, trusting his outside shot more coming off a game where he hit a team-high three 3-pointers against Euclid.

Tyler Jackson | Garfield

The rising junior has enjoyed a breakout season this year for the Bulldogs. Him along with fellow teammates Makail Cottingham and Jesse Laster have led Garfield to an impressive 17-5 record during the regular season. Jackson has taken his game to another level this season, attacking the basket with more confidence. The explosiveness has been noticeable this season and has turned him into an elite finisher at the rim. He’s got an impressive skill set with his size and has received a handful of Division I offers throughout his junior year.

Solon vs Bedford

Marcus Steele | Solon

Steele is a good athlete that has been a force for the Comets all year. He’s got the ability to defend guards and wings well on the defensive side of the ball and has really heard his name grow within Northeast Ohio this season. He’s done an excellent job replacing the likes of Mike Bekeljia and Sincere Carry as the lead guard in the potent Comet offense. Steele moves well without the ball and can be a force even without the ball in his hands.

Chaze Harris | Bedford

An energy guy, Harris has seen his stock rise this season putting on a show for Bedford this season. His latest game against Nordonia he scored a team-high 34 points. Harris has been shooting the three-ball well as of late and it takes a lot to slow him down. He’s an upcoming force in Northeast Ohio and it will be interesting to see how Solon tries to contain him.
