In the first game of the 1A State Semi-Finals, it was Lanett defeating Jacksonville Christian to advance to the State Title Game. In the second game, Pickens County defeated Francis Marion. Lanett will play Pickens County on Thursday at 5:45 CST. Below are the top performers and breakdowns from each team.

Cameron Boozer, Lanett: He and his brother, Zameron, dominated the interior from Monday's game. At 6'10", Cameron is a coveted talent. He has a good set of offensive moves in the post. He alters shots on defense. He has a nose for the ball on the glass. He finished the semi-final game off with a monster rebound and put back to send his team to the title game. He led the way as his team grabbed 25 offensive rebounds, compared to Jacksonville's 10. 20 points, 19 rebounds.

Zameron Boozer, Lanett: Zameron is an excellent compliment to his brother, Cameron. Together, they can change any game with how they play on the inside. He finished with a modest 12 points and 10 rebounds. He's got all the skill sets to play at the next level. Size is a natural thing and fine-tuning the skills can come later.

Kintavious Dozer, Lanett: Kintavious is one of the hardest working players on the Lanett team. As a junior, he led the team in scoring at 20 points per game. He constantly is working on his game. If a team decides to play zone to stop the twins, watch out because Kintavious will bust open the zone. He has greatly improved his shooting, his ball handling, and being a better point guard. He will be a great addition to any team because he is going to work hard to become the best he can be. He finished with 21 points and 4 rebounds.

Chase Vinson, Jacksonville Christian: Chase Vinson had an incredible run through the state playoffs. He led the Jacksonville Thunder as through several tough games. Despite having to play the Boozer twins, he still poured in 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks. He runs the floor well for his size. He hustles and he gives you everything. He's played against a lot of smaller defenders and can shoot over the top, but will have to develop a style where he's not the tallest player on the court.

Kobe Messer, Jacksonville Christian: Kobe was looking like Kobe Bryant early in the game. He came out hot to start and finished with 17 points on 5 three pointers. With all the attention inside with the bruisers, he just sat outside and knocked him down.

Jawan Petty, Pickens County: Defense was the difference maker for Pickens County. They changed their defensive approach midway through the game to break open their lead. Jawan Petty led the way. Jawan likes to play fast and is at his best when he's fast. It's crucial that he knows how he can play his best, but also be prepared to adapt in the Championship game against Lanett if they decide to slow you down. He finished 22 points and 7 rebounds and a Win.

Chester Lapsley, Francis Marion: Chester has been great all season for Francis Marion. In the semi-final game, though, he struggled to overcome the harassing defense. Being able to adapt to defenses and be even better, makes you that much better. He finished with 14 points and 7 rebounds.

Patrick Bates, Francis Marion: It's the little things that often make teams the most successful. Patrick Bates didn't come and score 30 points, but he was all over the defense grabbing rebounds and steals. Hustle is one of the most valuable attributes any player can have. Coaches need players who will get on the floor, get physical for rebounds, and do whatever they can for the team. Patrick finished with 7 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 steals.
