Prospects Standing Out

<p>As the the first couple rounds of pool play and bracket play in the playoffs begin, Utah seniors fight to keep their high school careers going.  While some players have received offers, others still only have interest and remain optimistic.  Of these unsigned seniors, several stood out this week with their play.</p> <p><strong>6'6 F <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/kase-petersen/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/kase-petersen/">Kase Petersen</a></a> (Herriman High School)</strong></p> <p>Kase has size and strength to play at the next level. He has a SF game as he is more effective near the basket. He has soft has and the ability to have explosive finishes at and above the rim. He defends well, he can defend players taller and holds his own with smaller quicker guards or players. He can get up and down the floor well. He seeks rebounds and gets the ball out of his hands quickly to get the break going. One of Kase's underrated positives in his game is his ability to pass the ball and set solid screens that players cannot get over. He scores in the double digits and can go out and get you double digit rebounds as well. </p> <p><strong>6'2 G <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/noah-mccord/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/noah-mccord/">Noah McCord</a></a> (Westlake High School)</strong></p> <p>The junior guard is starting to get it going. Noah is a high IQ guard that is strong and skilled. In his last game he was able to notch 22 points. He can shoot from the outside but he is the type of player that doesn't settle for shots. Noah will work hard to get the best shot possible for himself and his teammates. The heady player is also a dominating rebounded at his position. Noah doesn't need the ball in his hands to score as he moves well without the basketball. Great prospect moving forward.</p> <p><strong>6'4 CG <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/stone-hutchings/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/stone-hutchings/">Stone Hutchings</a></a> (Copper Hills High School)</strong></p> <p>Stone is a player that has been fun to watch improve through his laying career. His two handed dunk in transition earlier this week was head turning because he is a big 6'4 kid that can elevate. He handles the ball well and can shoot with the best of them. Stone knows how to use his attributes especially when smaller players are guarding him. He plays unselfish but he knows when it is time to takeover. A great unsigned prospect that is still available. </p> <p><strong>5'10 PG Kobe Shriver (Roy High School)</strong></p> <p>The junior guard is on pace to hit the 1,000 point club. Kobe is crafty with the ball as he finds ways to score or get to the line with his penetration. He has the ability to freeze defenders out in the perimeter and can shoot the long ball. This year he set the single season record for most three-pointers made in a season. Kobe also holds the record for most three-pointers made all-time and he still has one year to play. Kobe can put some of these records in a untouchable category. </p>
