No. 39 C.J. Ray – South Johnston – Forward
C.J. Ray is an undersized forward at 6-foot-5 but he makes up for it with his ability to fill up the stat sheet and wreak havoc in the post. He had a strong senior campaign averaging roughly 22 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks for South Johnston as they went 20-4 on the year. He’s yet another unsigned prospect that deserves some looks from colleges in the state.
No. 78 Randy Johnson – Charlotte Latin – Guard
Randy Johnson is a combo guard at Charlotte Latin School that’s headed to Holy Cross next season. He turned heads at this year’s Charlotte Hoops Challenge with a number of standout performances and has managed to find himself in the Top 80 of the 2020 class as the high school season comes to a close.
No. 85 Khalid Hinds – Ben L. Smith – Point Guard
Khalid Hinds has flown under the radar a bit in a rotation with Nic McMullen and Silas Mason in it but he’s been the glue guy that runs the show and controls the pace on offense and creates havoc on defense. He knows how to set a tone on both ends of the floor. He holds an offer from Mid-Atlantic Christian University.
No. 58 Adam Carey – Millbrook – Combo Guard
Adam Carey has done well to fill the void at the point guard spot missing with the absence of Nolan Dorsey. He’s an unselfish floor general that has gotten his studs Will Felton, Sam Hood and Eric van der Heijden looks at the rim on offense. Then on defense, he uses his length well to create turnovers and start the fastbreak.
No. 88 Devin Brown – Eastern Wayne – Forward
Colleges still in need of a big man, look no further than 6-foot-8 forward Devin Brown. Brown has put up 18.2 points, 12.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per contest this season for Eastern Wayne. He’s a post prospect that attacks the rim and protects the paint well. He’s another unsigned senior to get a look at soon.
