Tully Thomsen 6’3″ Oak Grove: The 2020 guard is in his shooting range when he enters the gymnasium. With a stroke that stretches well beyond the 3-point line, he is one of the best in the state from long distance. He can shoot it off the catch or he can lull a defender with the dribble and pull up from 20 feet. He also has a very reliable mid-range jumper and will also get to the basket as a counter to defenders who will close out on him to aggressively.
Justyn Boyd 6’2″ Roosevelt: The athletic 2020 wing is one of the most productive players in the St. Louis Public High League. He is a hard-working player who has been doing a good job of stuffing the stat sheet for the Roughriders. He is currently averaging 24.6 points, 9.4 rebounds, eight assists and four steals a game.
David Layton 6’0″ Oak Ridge: The 2020 guard has been getting massive buckets down in SEMO throughout his career. He recently surpassed the 2,000-point mark in his stellar career. As a junior, he averaged more than 35 points a game as he was one of the top scorers in the state. He has been a marked man for opposing defenses and scoring has slowed a little bit this year to 24 points a game, but he’s still a big threat with his ability to attack the basket and knock down jumpers off the dribble.
Guy Moran 6’4″ Centralia: The long 2020 wing is one of the top perimeter shooters in Mid-Missouri. He has hit 57 3-pointers while shooting 40 percent from long distance this season. He is an excellent shooter off the catch and he does a very good job of moving without the ball and coming off screens. He does his work before it’s time to shoot the ball. He is averaging 16 points and five rebounds in leading Centralia to a 16-4 record.
Karter Kekec 6’0″ North County: A talented 2021 wing who is one of the top players in St. Francois County. He is a very resourceful offensive player who has a good feel for the game, especially when it comes to putting the ball in the basket. He loves to attack the basket with strength and physicality and he compliments it with an excellent mid-range jumper. He is currently averaging 21 points a game. He erupted for 37 points in a victory over Farmington last week.
Lucas Morrison 6’9″ Salem: The 2021 forward is a big’un of a post player at 6’9″ and about 290 pounds. He is a baby version of Loyola’s Cameron Krutwig in the Ozark region with his ability to control games with his size and nice shooting touch around the basket. He is very good at establishing his post position and he will not be moved in the paint. He can also step out and shoot it well from 12 to 15 feet.
Kionte Cole 6’0″ Gateway Tech: A 2020 guard who started to open some eyes with his performance at the Rameybasketball Fall League. He has continued that play into the regular season, especially when it comes to shooting the basketball. He has made 49 3-pointers while shooting 40 percent from long distance. He is quick and he can get his own shot off the dribble. He is currently averaging 19 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists a game.
