Welcome to Region: Top Performers
<p>With region play underway tonight we see some players that just had themselves a night to start off region play. This includes a few upsets and some surprises. </p>
<p>Regon 1: </p>
<p><strong>6'4 Trevan Leondhart (Davis)</strong></p>
<p>Although he didn't outscore Dallin Hall (30) Trevan's 20 point performance and balance attack from Davis was more than enough to knock of previously #1 ranked Fremont off at home. 20,6,5,6 was his statline tonight as he proved to many that he can play with the best of them. Schools like Snow and Utah State Eastern need to be knocking on his door immediately. </p>
<p><strong>6'11 Preston Squire (Layton)</strong></p>
<p>Preston and his team dominated Roy. The 6'11 junior should be hearing from colleges just from his size alone. Looking forward to seeing how Preston can finish out the season. With 18 points and 4 three-pointers he will start to fall into college programs line of vision.</p>
<p>Region 6:</p>
<p><strong>5'10 Jason Workman (Murray) & 6'4 Chudi Anosike (Murray)</strong></p>
<p>This freshman duo have been putting in work for Murray as they combined for 24 points in a win against Skyline. Workman the coach's son is a sharp-shooter that has a green light. Chudi is able to do it inside and out. Both players have a bright future for the Spartans. </p>
<p>Region 8:</p>
<p><strong>5'11 Hayden Roundy (Payson)</strong></p>
<p>Hayden went off and scored 35 points for Payson. Hayden has speed and can shoot the lights out as he had 7 three-pointer. Unfortuantely Payson ran into a hot Salem Hills team that struggled earlier this year. </p>
<p>Region 14:</p>
<p><strong>6'1 Derek Smith (Delta)</strong></p>
<p>Derek Smith is making a run at the scoring lead in the state as he posted a 37 point night including 6 three-pointers. The kid has proved he can score regardless of classification.</p>
