<p>Many people have been surprised with the start that Wasatch High School has had as they started the season going 0-5. With a team that shoots the ball as well as they do it has been a uncharacteristic start. Then you look at their schedule and realize they have actually played some really tough teams. </p>
<p>6'3 F Ben Sanders Wasatch High School</p>
<p>Ben is averaging 11 points per game and 4 rebounds but had himself a big night against Farmington as he was able to put up a huge 29 points. This could not only spark Ben's confidence but the team as well as they head into the easier part of their schedule.</p>
<p>Farmington was one of the top ranked teams in 5A previously. They now fall to 4-2 on the year. </p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Utah Elite 8</strong></span></p>
<p>As one of the best tournaments in the state of Utah with hand choose teams that are usually quite successful last nights opening day did not disappoint. </p>

<p>Corner Canyon</p>
<p>Fremont</p>
<p>Herriman</p>
<p>Sky View</p>
<p>Timpview</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Corner Canyon vs. Fremont</span></p>
<p>The field is impressive like always with 6A-4A (American Fork, Corner Canyon and Sky View) defending State Champions all in the field.</p>
<p>Fremont is one of the favorites in 6A this year will face Corner Canyon in Day 2.</p>
<p>Corner Canyon had their way with Sky View as they coasted but it should be a great battle with Fremont and a test for Corner Canyons guards.</p>
<p>This could also be a platform for 6'8 F <strong>Carter Welling</strong> to continue to shine. </p>
<p>Fremont face a tough Herriman team and was able to finish that game strong.</p>

<p>American Fork vs. Bingham</p>
<p>American Fork has struggled early but got it going against Timpview. One impressive aspect of their win last night is holding Coleman Ford to 5 points.</p>
<p><strong>Noah Moeaki</strong> had a great game as he scored 17 points. Kid is only a sophomore with Division 1 football offers and it won't be long before he adds some basketball ones as well. </p>
<p>Bingham looked like they were going to give up a big run to Bountiful as they didn't have much of an answer to <strong>Robert Whaley</strong> but <strong>Tyler West</strong> and <strong>Ethan Langston</strong> had great games. </p>
<p>Ex-Region foes meet again for a birth to the final in the Utah Elite 8.</p>
