Desmond Watson (2021) | 6-4 WF | DeSales
Desmond Watson is a solid recruit in the junior class and could be trending upward soon. Putting in 27 points a game through three games, including a 39 point outing we were able to watch against Huber Heights Wayne. Watson is a bonafide slasher and uses his size to get through traffic with or without the ball. Crashes the boards where he gets much of his production. Operates with an unmatched motor that doesn’t stop.
Ryan Sheridan (2020) | 6-5 WG | Elgin
The Comets are off to a 1-2 start, not what they hoped, but they do have an impressive player in Ryan Sheridan. The senior is lengthy and faces many plus matchups that benefit him with the schedule his team plays. Averaging 24 points a night through three games, including a 31 point outing against Mount Gilead. We expect the 6-foot-5 wing to put up numbers all season as he has a knack for shooting the ball. A player to watch at a small school.
Jaden Woods (2020) | 6-5 WF | Newark
Woods is out of the gates quick for Newark with three double digit performances in four games, per the Columbus Dispatch. The senior is a force inside and one we are high on at that. The 2020 prospect is a multi sport athlete that is athletic around the rim on the hardwood. A floor runner, he does it all. The 6-foot-5 wing has his senior season off on the right foot.
Marcus Stewart (2021) | 6-3 WG | Wellington
Wellington junior was impressive at times a few months ago and is off to a nice start in his third go around. Lefty release, he has the ability to fill it up from deep, where a lot of his scoring comes from. Off the catch or the dribble, Stewart will let it fly. With more inside help this season, the junior could likely see vast improvement over the course of the whole year, just because of the attention that is drawn inside.
Caden Morris (2021) | 6-2 WG | Marion Harding
The junior is getting his first real taste of varsity hoops this season in terms of meaningful playing time and he hasn’t wasted any opportunity from the start. Scoring in double digits his first couple games, including a 21 point outing in a close win over Marion Pleasant. Morris is a multi sport athlete that is athletic and can handle the ball or work off of the ball and get open for simple jumpers. A long guard that gives his opposition fits because of his size.
