Prep Hoops Kansas released its most recently updated 2020 class rankings this week and the updated list features several players who have been mainstays in the rankings, as well as several players who have moved up the list.
Here Prep Hoops takes a look at several scoring guards who have raised their profile and moved into the Prep Hoops rankings for the first time.
52 Zach Nelson, 5’11, G, 2020, Shawnee Mission North
A smart point guard who has a flashy game that helps him create openings for himself and others. He is good at getting inside and scoring off the glass and also has a soft touch to his floater. He shows a lot of improvement as a defender and is aggressive and makes intelligent plays when he can both on and off the ball.
66 Jaren Jackson, 6’0, G, 2020, Augusta
Jackson was a first team all-league selection last season, and looks to continue his trend as a standout player. Jackson is extremely active and knows how to get to the basket finish through contact and can even step back and knock down a shot from a distance. He runs hard and looks to shut down opponents as a defender and get up the floor and make place quickly.
71 Connor Younger, 5’11, G, 2020, Basehor-Linwood
An impressive guard option who handles the ball, looks to score and can lock opponents down on the perimeter. He is a physical player who has great speed and vertical movement. A nice player who has great range and a promising skillset. He is aggressive, crafty and shows an ability to adapt and score in a wide range of situations.
76 Logan Skeens, 6’0, G, 2020, Shawnee Mission NW
A nice lanky guard who runs the floor well and looks to play off the ball. He can handle it some for himself but looks good coming off screens and looking to score. He can defend well and looks to contest shots and create mismatches. A smart player who can do a variety of things well.
