The high school season got into full swing in Georgia this week and our rankings for the Peach State’s senior class were just updated last weekend. Here is a look into this latest update, which includes nearly 200 prospects now. We have a lot of guys who are committed, or close to committing, but there are many who are still rising and solidifying themselves.

Unsigned Prospects in the Top 50:
3. JT Thor
10. Dylan Cardwell
14. Eric Gaines
19. Terrence Edwards
24. Jalen Deloach
25. Jermontae Hill
26. Ja’Quavian Florence
29. Quincy Canty
36. Achor Achor
38. Xavier Valley
39. London Riley
41. Emon Washington
43. Ryan Landers
44. Demaijon Topps
48. Trashawn Wilson
49. Tyler Johnson
50. Giancarlo Bastianoni

Even with a good number of early commitments and signings so far in Georgia, there are still a lot of quality prospects who are available. With 33 out of the top 50 having already made their college decisions, there are 17 left. Within this group are versatile forwards, tough guards, and multiple prospects who should see a jump in their recruitment during the high school season. Eric Gaines showed last week at the SWD Showdown that he is fully healthy and ready to put the whole state on notice. Against McEachern, Berkmar F Jalen Deloach had 32 points and 15 rebounds to start off his senior season. Terrence Edwards and Jermontae Hill are going to be a scary duo for Tucker all year long; they beat NFEI at the SWD Showdown last Saturday, combining for 30 points. London Riley & Demaijon Topps are known among college coaches but still haven’t gotten the offers they are worthy of. Both had nice showings in their recent scrimmages. Emon Washington and Ryan Landers were both included in the Breakout Seniors article; they are two names you’re going to hear a lot this winter.

Promising Long-Term Prospects
51. Bernard Pelote
59. Chase McKey
63. Ra’Sean Frederick
69. Perry Robinson
77. Emmanuel Jones
84. Carl Cleveland
93. Sola Adebisi

Georgia always has numerous prospects who have a lot of potential, and fulfill that potential a while after their high school years are over. This year is no different, and the guys above fit the description. Bernard Pelote is a legit 6’7” with ball skills and shooting ability, he has all types of D2 options and could be a steal at that level. One guy who has been a hot prospect during the fall is Perry Robinson VI. He was one of the top performers at the Top 250 and continues to impress with his versatility. Robinson is just starting to come into his own and realize what he could become. Carl Cleveland is already extremely skilled and smart, but as his body and conditioning improves, he’ll be even better. He is putting up triple-double numbers to start the year and that’s a trend that should continue. Sola Adebisi has exceptional physical traits that were on display in Cambridge’s opening win against Buford. He can also face-up from 17 feet to shoot or put the ball on the deck. Once he gets to college, fills out, and really puts things together, it could be scary.

Rising Guards
60. Anthony Hardy
65. Roman Son
66. Christian Chambers
70. Zawdie Jackson
72. Jaylon Simpson
74. Jaylon Brown
86. Mason Pierre
89. Jordan Johnson
90. Keith Williams
98. Noah Scales

Towards the middle of the rankings, we have a ton of guards who bring considerable value and production to their teams. Whether it be the travel season, fall leagues and camps, or early-season games, all of these guys have shown promise that they’ll continue climb during their final high school season. Roman Son and Christian Chambers both picked up multiple D2 offers during the fall and return to their respective high schools with a lot of confidence and determination. I think people should especially keep their eyes on Jaylon Brown of Alexander, who was hurt for a good chunk of the summer. He uses his athletic ability on both ends, provides intensity and competitiveness, and can make things happen with the ball in his hands. The last 4 on the list have already carried over some of their impressive play from the summer into the season; Pierre, Johnson, Williams, and Scales all have started things off on a high note during the first week and a half of 2019-2020 and seem to have chips on their shoulders.

More To Track
109. Sebastian Augustave
110. Elwood Moore
118. Joseph Staiti
121. Sean Rutledge
123. Chris Newell
130. Trent Gordon
131. Ross Shepherd
135. Johnny Kittles
161. Josh Butts
166. Zyon Gaddis

The Peach State also has a plethora of sleepers each and every year that prove themselves as seniors and get college attention late. The 2nd half of the rankings is filled with those type of players and these guys are a few who I think will have really nice years. I’ve only seen Sean Rutledge a few times, but his body, skill, and energy were enough to quickly make me a fan. Rutledge is a matchup problem and plays with a dog mentality that you like to see from a player of his size. Elwood Moore is a guard with size who excels on the defensive end and has the speed and athleticism to attack the basket effectively. Ross Shepherd broke out during his junior season and keeps getting better. He’s a nightly double-double threat who plays with grit and can do a lot of different things to help your team win.
