Preseason Team Rankings: #10

<p>It’s now creeping up on the start of the high school season and we are looking to start our series of previews on some of the best teams in the state. Today, Eric Gardner and Kyler Staley join up to start our deep dive into some of these teams.</p> <p>Our series will take a look at the best teams in the state for each class with our rankings. Starting at #50 and going to #1, we will look at each class ranking across all classes starting now with #10.</p> <p><b>1A #10: Indianapolis International</b><br /> The Gryphons will be coming off a 6-15 season heading into Coach Scott Adams second year as head coach. They return a fairly young team with a good amount of varsity experience. The team will be led by junior shooting guard Jaden Thomas (27.4 ppg, 6.6 rpg), who can score in multiple ways. The Tigers will also be led by 6'2 wing Michele Barrantes (10.4 ppg). Look for breakout seasons from Lanard Bolden (5.3 ppg) and Kaleu Tellas (4.4 ppg). This team was pretty young last season so it was hard to judge their potential. Their schedule gives them the chance to improve drastically. This squad should win Sectional and have the opportunity to go even further.       </p> <p><strong>2A #10: Wapahani </strong><br /> The Raiders are coming off a great 17-7 record but with a tough Sectional Final loss to Frankton to add to it. They head into this without losing much talent-wise. Wapahani returns their top two scorers along with a roster full of experience. The team will be led by guard duo Andrew Luce (14.6 ppg) and David Spence III (12.5 ppg), which might be the best backcourt in 2A this season. Add in some good players like Evan Rausch and Braxton Davis, you have a really talented squad. Expect them to get over the hump and make a deep post-season run.             </p> <p><strong>3A #10: North Harrison</strong><br /> The Cougars are heading into this season off a bad 10-14 record but will have a new coach, Lou Lefevre, who has an amazing 266-79 record in 16 years overall as a head coach. The leaders of this team will be Langdon Hatton and prospect Branden Jenkins. Expect a breakout season for both power forward Ethan Oakley and shooting guard Logan McIntire. This team has a scary combination of great talent and a coach that knows how to get the best out of his kids. This squad should expect a competitive schedule but one they have a chance to show their improvements with. There is a great opportunity for the Cougars to become Sectional Champions for the first time since 1996.              </p> <p><b>4A #10: Crispus Attucks </b><br /> The Tigers are coming off a great 20-9 record and was so close to making it to the State Finals last year. They head into this season having lost a good amount of seniors but return great prospects. The leader of this team will be senior point guard Sincere McMahon (16. 6 ppg), who is a great all-around player on both offense and defense. This team also returns great 2021 forwards Donovan Barnett, Jaylen Carson, and Dakota Buie. They have a chance to have an even better season than last year. Sectional will be tough but go ahead and pencil them in as the slight favorite. Opposing teams should expect a tough matchup against the Tigers.      </p>
