New Life vs Word of God (Nov 5th): This matchup features two teams that are taking different routes this season as WOG has brought in quite a bit of talent while New Life is a younger group. The Monarchs will need big time games from: Dahuan Jones, Pharrel Davis & Ricardo Polk to keep things competitive, if the trio of guards get going early, things could get interesting.
Henderson Collegiate vs Piedmont Classical (Nov 7th): What a way to start the season for both of these groups, as both teams feature multiple college prospects and have potential to make state championship runs. HC features Queens Commit 2020 Guard Kalib Matthews as well as 2021 Javonte Waverly who has picked up a ton of D1 interest and will be looking to continue to build his stock. Piedmont Classical features a backcourt who are also looking to raise their stock in 2020 Guard Trent McIntyre who holds multiple offers as well as 2021 Guard Jamari Thomas, a player who has bounced back in a tremendous way from knee surgery and has shown his ability to dominate in many matchups this spring and summer.
South Wake vs Freedom Christian (Nov 5th): This will be a game that will feature plenty of names that we probably have not heard before as both teams will have new players on the squad. Freedom Christian has added quite a few names to their group as well as a new Head coach so it should be interesting to see how things play out. One player to keep an eye on is 2020 Forward Aymeric Toussaint who is a player that has picked up some D1 level interest and should be on tap to have a breakout year.
Grace Christian of Raleigh vs Wayne Country Day (Nov 8th): Another good game that will be going down this week as both squads have some talent and potential to be really good. WCD will look to build on last season as they made a deep run into the state playoffs, while Grace will look to their ACC commit in Jaylon Gibson to be a huge part of what they do.
Living Water Christian vs Southeastern Homeschool (Nov 5th): LWCS will get their first opportunity to see their new look squad against opposing competition as they will open up the season at home. Southeastern won’t be a pushover squad at all as they have a few players that can fill it up once they get it going.
