All the great teams in the AIA obviously have the talented stars but there are 1-2 players on each team that truly affect many wins and could be their secrets to their success this HS season.

Here is 5A:

Millennium: Everyone knows about Justus Jackson and DaRon Holmes but the play of Robby Devries and/or Michael Batchelor could get them to the finals this year.

Ironwood: Their star trio of Black, White and Gonzales are tough but if Jaden Glass and/or David Teibo can hold down the fort inside, the Eagles could be in the finals.

Sunnyslope: They have the biggest front line and wings in the entire state but need the soph PG Oakland Fort and/or senior Malcolm Alexa to have a steady year to get them far.

Gilbert: They have many talented guards who just simply play hard and know how to play but it may be the play from senior big Griffin Lamb that can take them to the final-4 or better.

Paradise Valley: Like Sunnyslope, they have a huge front line and will need consistency from their PG spot from junior Colin Lloyd and/or senior Devon Seifer.

Williams Field: Good size and guards but I think if junior wing Ti Cochrane can go to that next level, the Black Hawks can make a deep run.

Apollo: Everyone knows about Paris Woods and Zeke Thomnpkins but if soph Ahamed Mohamed can steady the PG role and hit shots consistently, the Hawks will make a run.
