Predicting Central Ohio’s Top Scorers: Final Five

In the final part of the scorers in Central Ohio to watch we take a look at the final five. Of course we’ll look at underrated one and such, but that’s down the road. I spaced out these articles as each player is very deserving and can put together some of the best games to view in the area. <h3>Final Five: </h3> Isaac Settles (6’5” / WG 2021 / Thomas Worthington): Settles is on a good Thomas Worthington team that is going to get a lot of shots up this season, which bodes well for his game. Hovering around 13-14 a game last year, expect his game to average around 17-18 points a night this coming season. Settles can shoot it, handles it pretty well and has length to beat opponents inside. Makhale Massey (6’4” / W 2021 / Northland): Northland lost a lot when they lost N’Keeley Elmore, which will need to be replaced. A prime candidate to pick up a lot of that is the 6-4 wing in Massey. The athletic three can do his damage at the bucket and has a big time slashing game. Massey is a tough outing for the City League and is only getting better. Look forward to seeing those numbers go up for the junior. Sean Jones (5’9” / PG 2022 / Gahanna): Sean Jones is one of the better point guards in the Columbus area regardless of class. Elite court vision and feel for the game, which makes him a true guard. Despite the size Jones can still get to the rack and finish, as well as a terror in transition. Gahanna will need more out of him offensively this season, in which he will be very capable. The sophomore has improved shooting the last few months and is a player you have to account for all over. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him put up at least 18 a game for Gahanna this year. Kalil Camara (6’3” / G 2020 / Westland): Last year Kalil was the new kid on the block, but that isn’t the theme anymore. One of the more athletic players in the area, the senior can attack the rim like no other, with big time bounce too. 13 points a game for Camara last year could be a misleading stat of what to expect from him this year. He has a year under his belt at Westland. The more the senior develops his shot, the higher up that scoring number will go. Expect the 2020 prospect to be among the better scorers in the area. Eli Burke (6’0” / G 2021 / Africentric): A player that isn’t talked about enough in 2021 is Eli Burke. The junior guard can fill it up and has showed big time improvements steadily. I’m a big fan of his game as he’s a competitor. When on a mission Burke can score it at the rim or off the pull-up. The catch and shoot is always an option as is the step back. Consistency will be the key for the guard and he will be a “bucket getter” to watch. Africentric always has good guard play, expect Eli to put up some numbers this season.
