And though he’s still offer-less Ohio’s 65th-ranked 2017 seems on the verge of a big senior season, and possibly that first offer.
“My highest interest right now would be from Air Force, and I have teams like Lake Erie at the D2 level, and D3 schools like Marietta and Ohio Wesleyan,” said Tillman.
“I’ve been talking to Air Force since last summer, and I went there recently for an elite camp in June.”
He says right now all he can do is hope for the best, and try and get to a program and school that fits him best.
“I don’t really know what’s going to happen,” said Tillman. “I’m just hoping to go somewhere that’s the best fit, and hopefully once I get one offer they’ll keep coming and I’ll see what’s there.”
Tillman has proven to be one of the state’s most versatile threats, and while he’s best as a wing, he’s capable of playing nearly all positions on the floor.
“I can play the one through the three, and the four if I need to. I can shoot it and handle it, and I’m a good defender. And I feel I have a good basketball IQ,” said Tillman, who recently wrapped-up his 17U season with Hidden Gems.
“I think I had a really good summer. We were a really good team, and I played pretty much wherever I was needed — usually the two through four. Me and another guy were the main scorers, so I got up a lot of shots.”
And now, with his senior season at Bellefontaine just months away, he can shift his focus to high school ball.
“I’m the guy this year,” he said. “And I’m going to have to get up a lot of shots. My goal this year is to definitely win a league championship.”
