Columbia College Elite Camp: Class of 2020 Wings

<p>Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at the top Class of 2020 wings at the Columbia College Elite Camp in Mid-Missouri.</p> <p>Elisha Haynes 6'4" Lee's Summit West: The athletic wing player did a nice job at the camp of making plays and getting buckets in a quiet manner. He displayed good ball handling skills and the ability to slash his way to the basket and finish very well at the rim. He had a some nice takes from the baseline and he also scored on some nice cuts to the basket. He was also a factor on the offensive glass.</p> <p>Justice Thoma 6'4" Cape Notre Dame: The thick-bodied wing player got a chance to play on the same court where his father played on during his Hall of Fame college career at Columbia during the early 1990's. When he wasn't throwing down an array of impressive dunks during the drills, he was doing a good job of attacking the basket for layups and hitting mid-range jumpers during the scrimmage games.</p> <p>Kevin Sorrells 6'2" Hogan Prep: A very offensive minded guard who was very good at creating his offense off the dribble. He displayed some very creative escape move combinations to free himself up to get into the lane for buckets. He's thin, but he's wiry and can get to the basket with strength.</p> <p>Nathan Schwartz 6'2" Father Tolton: A very capable bucket-getter who has the ability to score at all three levels. He is strong enough to score at the rim in traffic and he has the escape moves to create jumpers off the dribble. He plays with very good pace and he has a nice perimeter jumper to go along with it.</p> <p>Brant Bowers 6'2" Rock Bridge: The solid wing player did an excellent job shooting the basketball from 3-point range during the drills and it carried over into the scrimmage games. He shoots a very good percentage because his shot selection is good and he doesn't force things. He also made some nice passes off the dribble in getting to the basket.</p> <p>Tommy Hafer 6'4" Joplin: A solid, athletic wing player who did a little bit of everything during the day. He made some nice defensive plays with steals and blocks. He displayed a nice feel for the game with his ability to pass the ball and keep moving without the ball. He scored on some nice cuts to the basket and short jumpers.</p> <p>Josh Kilpatrick 6'5" Grain Valley: A solid lefty wing with good size and a high motor. He has a different release to his shot, but he is very effective with it from 3-point range. His activity rate was high as he moved well without the ball and chased down his share of loose balls. </p> <p>Eli Boyer 6'4" St. Pius: A solid lefty wing who plays a very sound fundamental game. His passing skills were very good and he was a capable ball handler who could get to his spots to hit short jumpers. His 3-point shooting was also good as well. He did a good job of playing within himself and not forcing the issue.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
