Continue Reading- Andy Soma 6-2 2020 Traverse City West Regardless of region or class this is my breakout performer of the day. Stood out particularly well in the 2-on-2 portion of the camp against some highly regarded statewide point guard prospects. Seems to have improved strength in his lower body from the high school season. Showed good decision making, but was also very aggressive in penetration throughout the day. Creative at the rim and showed the ability the finish strong with both hands. Should team with Parker Neu and fellow camp participant Garrett Schuler to make West a formidable team in a highly competitive Big North Conference.
- Joseph Kimmerer 6-2 2020 Hale Off the beaten path prospect who I was excited to get my first look at. Did not disappoint. A prolific high school scorer, he was particularly effective on the defensive end. Highly competitive and always seemed to be around the ball. Picked his spots offensively. Seemed to be most comfortable in the midrange. Moved well without the basketball. Obviously well schooled as he was not going get caught out of position.
- Jackson Raymond 6-4 2020 East Jordan There was a highly impressive collection of big men at this camp. Raymond was matched up with this deep group in positional drills. He acquitted himself well. A long lanky athlete with good ball skills. Showed the ability to finish above the rim. Once in a 5-on-5 setting, Raymond showed an excellent first step for a player his size. Should team with fellow participant Cooper Stevenson to make East Jordan a Class C sleeper in Northern Michigan.
- Nathaniel Wandrie 6-6 2020 Indian River-Inland Lakes Along with Raymond matched up in a highly competitive positional unit. Proved with performance that he belonged in this group of long skilled athletes. Moves well and has sturdy thick frame with broad shoulders. Also posses a soft touch around the basket. Due to size if he shows he can consistently stretch his range out to the arc, could be an intriguing prospect
- Evan Solomon 6-3 2022 Charlevoix This young prospect showed a lot of upside in limited touches. Impressive looking solid athlete. Very competitive, showing no fear of older prospects. Opportunistic under the basket, and knew what to do when he got the ball. Quick release allowed him to get his shot up over bigger defenders. A factor that should aid development is his high school environment. With Luke Stuck and company as teammates, he should not be forced into playing in the post. If the perimeter skills develop this will be a prospect to keep an eye on.
