The Factory has consistently been one of the top non-shoe sponsored teams in the state. Below is a summer of the team’s performances. This group played well throughout the event.
D’Maurian Williams 6’4 PG 2019 Westview
Williams was living in the paint and demonstrated that he can score the basketball at will as well as create opportunities for others. He is a strong guard with a good feel for the game. Further, he shot the basketball at an improved rate and look solid on the ball defensively.
Dominic Gonzalez Dominic Gonzalez 6'3" | SG Ironwood | 2020 State AZ 6’3 PG/SG 2020 Ironwood
Gonzalez led the team in scoring as he has for almost every tournament. He is scoring the basketball at an improved efficiency level and benefiting from playing with other athletic wings who can create for themselves and for others. Gonzalez has improved his ability to attack bad closeouts significantly.
Xzavier Lino Xzavier Lino 6'5" | SF Sunnyslope | 2020 State AZ 6’6 SG 2020 Sunnyslope
Lino might be the most college ready shooter in the state. He is incredibly accurate. Further, his shot is on time for the college level. Every time Factory needed a big shot, somehow the ball found its way into Lino’s hands in the corner. Needless to say, other teams found out how much of a shooter he is.
Zeke Thompkins Zeke Thompkins 6'6" | SF Apollo | 2020 State AZ 6’5 PG 2020 Apollo
Thompkins does a little bit of everything for this team. He is capable of attacking the rim and finishing. Further, he makes good reads on his drives and has shooters who can hit on his kick outs. Defensively, he plays multiple positions due to his height and athleticism.
Sunday John Sunday John 6'3" | SG Phhoenix Prep Post Grad | 2021 AZ 6’4 SG/SF 2020 Willow Canyon
John provides the team with an energy creator who is more than capable scorer. He takes whatever role he is asked to play and does it at a high level. Defensively, he is one of the most stout prospects on the team. He pressures the ball well and does a good job getting into the passing lanes. Further, he is a capable shooter who can also rip past bad closeouts.
Curtis Nichols Curtis Nichols 6'4" | PF Phhoenix Prep Post Grad | 2021 State AZ 6’5 PF 2020 Valley Vista
Nichols is a lengthy 4 who provides the team with good athleticism. He can challenge shots around the rim despite being undersized. Further, he provides the team with a guy who can catch dump off passes and finish them around the rim.
