Trayvon Patton 2021 Next Level Elite– Patton is one of the fastest guards I’ve seen. He pushes the pace at all times and splits through traffic like it’s nothing. He always makes the right pass and leaves defenders looking silly. He’s able to be crafty by using his speed and quickness to his advantage as he can stop and start on a dime. Patton doesn’t care about his own stats and is always looking to get others involved. His skill set is very unique and he’s an awesome point guard that had a great weekend.
Ja’Bryant Hill 2020 FOE– This kid, in my opinion, was the best player in the gym today. Hill was one of the best point guards I’ve seen all summer and there isn’t much that he can’t do. He hit the go ahead shot, a three from the corner, and then had a steal and a layup to extend the lead. His ball handling was outstanding as he rarely ever turned the ball over. Hill is fantastic off of a pick-and-roll and he always makes the right decision. He finishes well, has a nice midrange, and is a sniper from three point range. One of the most heady, crafty guards out there. He had an outstanding weekend and was one of the main reasons Team FOE was able to knock off Team Harden.
Jonah Jenkins 2022 Oklahoma Eagles– Jenkins is an underrated guard that will continue to make noise heading into school ball. He had some of the best passes I saw all weekend, left hand and right hand, you name it. Jenkins finds his way into the paint whenever he wants to and definitely has one of the best floaters in his class. I was super impressed with his court vision and his basketball IQ, he was the smartest player on the floor. He also showed his range in the last game hitting three pull up triples. I left super impressed with this young guard.
Travon Davie 2021 Infinity– The lefty point guard was one of the smoothest and collected players I watched. He was never overwhelmed by pressure and was smart with the ball. He nailed a step back three at the buzzer to take the game in to overtime and eventually lead his team to a win. He has a super smooth jumper and a very tight handle. Davie is very crafty and doesn’t turn the ball over often while getting his teammates involved with his great passing.
Sam Battle 2021 Chaos– Battle is a guy that you hate playing against. Watching him reminds me of Patrick Beverly. He’s a fantastic defender and a great, true point guard. He always keeps the defender on his back and is such a heady player. He has a very nice bounce pass and his dribble is tight. He always finds his open teammates and makes the right pass. Battle is so fast and uses that to his advantage in being crafty. He had plenty of solid finishes at the rim and head shaking passes this weekend.
