Jenkins needs to work on elite ball-handling skills and finishing through contact. His speed is very good, but he can't capitalize in the paint if trees are around. With his bounce and quick feet he needs to improve and can improve in this specific facet of the game.
Jadon is a smart basketball player that understands how to play with teammates. He doesn't demand the ball. He could move better off the ball for sure.
Jenkins can create his own plays and never really gets tired. His fitness is very good and coupled with his speed, Jenkins should be a killer attacker IF he improves his motor.
The biggest weakness in Jadon Jenkins' game is motor. He must be more active and more aggressive. There is no other way to dominate at the high school level without. Jenkins drifts from games if he is not actively involved in the offense. His helpside defense is absolutely a strength, but even this drags a little if his touches are down. It comes down to "want-to." Jenkins must summon his energy, of which he has plenty, and commit to competing all over the floor every minute of the game.
Quick, Jadon Jenkins covered much ground when pursuing the basketball. His mid-rang shooting is really strong. The range needs work and there are some shot mechanics he could address with a skills coach. For now he is a slasher/shooter with limited range and ok handle. Speed helps him threaten on the attack.
Jenkins can be a scoring threat for Tyner both this and next season, but he must improve his motor. Changing pace is a strength, but speed is only valuable if you sprint and sharply cut. When Jadon stands still his speed is obviously worthless.
Jadon Jenkins is an athlete ready to uncoil his talent. Keep an eye on his development in the next two years.
