It’s an exciting holiday that brings ‘oohs and ahs’ from onlookers. High school basketball in Michigan has players that can create the same excitement as the fireworks on 4th of July. These athletes put on a show and pack gyms with fans waiting for them to explode.
Emoni Bates (2022, F, Ypsilanti – Lincoln)
Lets be real, he’s the best prospect in the country regardless of class. Bates has turned into a teenage legend. He can do it all: Shoot, rebound, defend, and finish with flare.
Ty Rodgers (2022, SF, Grand Blanc)
Rodgers is an elite talent on a national scale. He fills gyms with fans waiting to see him go off. Rodgers is one of the best pure athletes in Michigan.
Brody Parker (2021, G, Troy)
Parker is like the firework that shoots up quietly, then all of a sudden lights up the sky. He can shoot and create, often times putting an opponent away before they even know it.
Trip Riemersma (2021, SG, Zeeland East)
Riemersma lights up the nets. If he gets hot from behind the arc – WATCH OUT. He’s a game changer on the perimeter.
Shawn Coad (2020, SG, Grand Rapids Angels)
Coad has a reputation as one of the most electrifying finishers in the country. He has competed in and won dunk contests both regionally and nationally.
Isaiah Jackson (2020, PF, Waterford Mott)
Don’t stand near the fireworks! Bringing the ball near Jackson in the paint is just as dangerous. The ball is probably coming back at you with force.

McGee is a bucket getter. He attacks the basket and makes things happen. McGee is a 3 level scorer that turns heads when he’s on the floor.

The Michigan State commit is explosive off the ground. He can jump through the roof and finishes with force. Terry makes fans jaws drop in the open floor.
