Cole is a smart point guard and always a guy that is engaged in the game. He might be a guy that is a little underrated due to the fact he has a lot of other guard weapons around him but that is fine to him.
“I am mostly the distributor. I like to pride myself on defense and get a lot of steals and just getting everyone else involved on the offensive end, just really be the facilitator.”
That is exactly what he has been doing during Capitol Hoops Summer League as he is averaging 6.9 points per game, 4.3 assists per game and 2.1 steals per game. He is enjoying his time during summer league and using it for good preparation for this upcoming season.
“My high school team has had a really good summer league. We finished the regular season really strong and are now just looking forward to getting ready for the playoffs. We are just trying to build up our chemistry and get ready for the season. Our ultimate goal is to win the IAC so all of this preparation helps.”
With his good grades in the classroom and high basketball IQ, some very good high academic schools are keeping close tabs on him.
Just this past week, he took an unofficial visit to Yale, “They wanted me to come and look at the campus. I am looking at all Ivy’s and Patriot League schools because that is where I want to play and get a good academic education.”
He went to elite camp at Brown last year and enjoyed what they had to offer, “I went to there elite camp last year and thought I played really well there. I love the school too, it is a really nice school.”
Another Ivy league school he has visited is Columbia, “I really like Columbia, it is in the middle of New York and it is a really nice school. I liked it on my visit there, I really love the program up there.”
When asked if any other schools are showing interest, he said, “Penn and American“
