Below are some of the state’s players to keep your eyes on in the 2021 class
Matt Fries, 5’9, G, 2021, Dodge City
Fries has a game that translates well in for his size. He plays big and has a nice bounce. He gets out on transition and absorbs contacts and finishes plays. He has an excellent shot and can get hot from distance and put up a collection of 3s when he’s dialed in.
Deandre Wilson, 6’2, G, 2021, Northwest
A solid scorer who plays well with the ball in his hands. He runs hard and avoids problem areas of the floor. He has good size for his position and it helps him get shots off and move inside some and score or rebound on both ends. He also can get his teammates the ball as he also looks to distribute.
Enrique Lankford, 6’2, G, 2021, Bishop Carroll
Another strong player with a solid frame and a hard-working mentality. He has a great outside shot and can be hard to stop if he’s found his rhythm and has dialed in his shot. He has good size and a clean shot. He can play physical and has the skills to put the ball on the floor and make something happen.
Jeremy Kendrick, 5’8, G, 2021, Highland Park
A solid guard who handles the ball well and is comfortable brings the ball up the floor and running the show. He has good speed a solid ball control. He has quick feet and is a good 3-point shooter. He’s not as tall as many of the players he defends, but he’s aggressive and highly active on the floor and shows a good upside.
Patrick Denton, 5’11, G, 2021. Atchinson
A guard who can handle the ball some and score when he’s open. He runs the floor well at times and pushes the ball up the floor. He plays good defense and moves his feet and plays close to the ball handler. he can direct traffic and rebounds well and comes away with the ball.
